Since your YouTube account is linked to your Google account, you'll need to head to your Google account settings to update your age. If your email was made by a parent or guardian, you'll need to ask them to update your information if it's incorrect. Here's how to change your age on YouTube using your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

Updating Your Birthday on YouTube

To update your birthday for YouTube, tap your profile picture in the mobile app. Tap Google Account and navigate to the Personal Info tab. Tap Birthday to add a new birthday, and then save it.

  1. Step 1 Open the YouTube app. 1 Open the YouTube app. This looks like a white play button in a red box.
    • If you aren't already signed into your account, tap Sign in in the top-right corner to do so now.
    • Keep in mind the age change will reflect in Google and all other Google services.
  2. Step 2 Tap your profile picture. 2 Tap your profile picture. You can find this in the bottom-right corner. Advertisement
  3. Step 3 Tap Google Account. 3 Tap Google Account. This will be underneath your YouTube handle.
  4. Step 4 Tap Personal info. 4 Tap Personal info. This is the tab between Home and Data & privacy.
  5. Step 5 Tap Birthday. 5 Tap Birthday. You can find this under the Basic info header.
  6. Step 6 Enter a new birthday. 6 Enter a new birthday. Tap the Month, Day, and/or Year fields to input a new birthday.
  7. Step 7 Tap Save. 7 Tap Save. This is the blue button. Your new birthday will be saved.
    • You may not see this option if you have a restricted account or an account made by someone else. In this case, ask your parent, guardian, or admin to change this information for you if it's incorrect.
