Wondering how much battery life is left in your Beats by Dre earbuds or headphones? Whether you're using Beats Studio, Studio3, Powerbeats Pro, Solo3, Solo Pro, Fit Pro, it's super easy to check the battery level of your wireless headphones when you're using an iPhone. This wikiHow article will teach you 3 easy ways to check the battery status of any Beats wireless headphone or earbuds models on your iPhone.
How long does your Beats battery last when the light is red?
If the light is solid red, you have 1 hour or less of battery remaining. If the red light is blinking, you’ll have to charge your Beats as soon as possible. Check the battery of your Beats by looking at the power lights on the charging case or checking your Beats widget on your home screen.
Steps
Section 1 of 3:Checking the Home Screen (Wireless Beats Earbuds)
-
Place your Beats Studio Buds, Powerbeats Pro, or Beats Fit Pro into their charging case and open the lid. If you're using any Beats wireless earbuds, you can easily view their battery level on your iPhone while the earbuds are charging inside of the case. Just open the charging case lid near your iPhone—you'll see the battery levels of both the charging case and your Beats earbuds on your iPhone's screen. Advertisement
Asking Siri (Powerbeats Pro Only)
-
Say, "Hey Siri, how's the battery of my Powerbeats Pro?" If you're using Powerbeats Pro, you can ask Siri about the battery life while your earbuds are in your ears. If Siri doesn't respond to your voice instantly, press and hold the Beats logo on one of your earbuds until you hear a chime, then ask Siri about your Powerbeats Pro battery.[1]
Using the Batteries Widget (All Models)
-
1 Swipe right on your iPhone's Home screen. This takes you to Today view, where you can easily add and view the Batteries widget for fast and easy access to your Beats battery levels.[2] This will work for all Beats wireless models, including Beats Studio Buds, Solo3, Studio3, and Beats Fit Pro. - If you'd rather add the widget to your Home screen, just go to your Home screen instead.
-
2 Tap and hold any of the widgets on Today view. You can lift your finger when the widgets start to jiggle.[3] - If you're adding the widget to your Home screen, tap and hold any blank area of your Home screen instead—the icons will begin to jiggle.
-
3 Tap the Add + icon. It's at the top-right corner of the screen.[4] -
4 Scroll down and tap Batteries. This is the green icon with a white battery symbol. Now you'll see a preview of a simple version of the Batteries widget.[5] -
5 Swipe through the Batteries widget previews. The first version of the widget displays the battery level on a smaller icon, while the other two options give you more details (including the battery percentage) for multiple connected wireless devices. - The Batteries widget will also display battery information for many other compatible wireless devices including AirPods and Beats Pill+ speakers.
-
6 Tap Add Widget. It's at the bottom of the screen. This adds the Batteries widget to the bottom of your widget list (or the top of your Home screen).[6] - Want the widget to appear higher in your widget list or somewhere else on the Home screen? Just long-tap the widget and drag it to the desired position.
-
7 Tap any blank area of the screen to close editing view. The widgets or icons will stop jiggling, and your Batteries widget will update to show you the battery level of your iPhone, Beats headphones, and any other connected devices. Advertisement

- If you have Powerbeats Pro earbuds, you can also check the LED lights on the left earphone to see how much playback time you have left. A white LED means you have up to 15 hours of listening time remaining. If the LED is solid red, you have less than an hour—if the red light is blinking, you'll need to charge your earbuds as soon as possible.[7] Thanks Helpful 0 Not Helpful 0
- If you're using your Beats wireless earbuds or headphones with an Android, you can easily keep tabs on your battery levels using the Beats app.[8] Thanks Helpful 0 Not Helpful 0
- Do your Beats earbuds keep falling out of your ears? Try the Ear Tip Fit Test to make sure you're using the correct ear tip size.[9] Just go into Settings > Bluetooth, tap the small "i" in a circle next to your Beats earbuds, and select Ear Tip Fit Test to get started.
