How to control VFD(Inverter) using arduino uno? Projects General Guidance March 3, 2017, 2:30am 1

I have an improvement project. I want to control inverter using arduino. I think you can suggest to me what type of microcontroller and inverter.

what tools do I need to make it happen ? what is the code ?

Please share to me. I am a newbie but given a hard project.

A simple inverter:

VFD ? Vacuum Fluorescent Display or Variable Frequency Drive or something else ? Can you present more details of what you have to achieve ?

Rickysanjaya do you really expect anyone to make sense of what you write ? Even if we do assume you are talking about a VSD (Variable Speed Drive) instead of the old last century speak of VFD, you need to provide a lot lot more information.

Do we all gaze into our now dull crystal balls and suggest you need an inverter that has 110VDC input delivering six phase 220VAC 150kW output from a bunch of hot 6V6GT valves, that comes with standard TTL async serial communications port to connect to and be controlled by your supercharged Arduino UNO ? That sure would be an improvement project to speak of oui ?

I like what DrDiettrich suggests, a true software inverter that never fails :slight_smile:

ok, I want use variable frequency drive Toshiba vf-s15 to control motor 3 phase 10HP, I want to control it with arduino uno.
