Whether you're using the Facebook mobile app on your phone or accessing Facebook on your computer, it's easy to copy and paste text in Facebook. Keep in mind that you won't be able to save photos this way. This wikiHow article will teach you how to copy text from a Facebook post, a website, or another app, and paste it using your computer, iPhone, or Android device.

Things You Should Know

  • On mobile, navigate to a post. Tap and hold the text, and then tap "Copy". Navigate to another text field, tap it, and tap "Paste".
  • On desktop, highlight the text by clicking and dragging the mouse. Right-click the text and click "Copy".
  • Navigate to another text field, right-click, and click "Paste".

    • Facebook is available for iOS in the App Store and for Android in the Google Play Store.

    • If you want to copy something from a different site to Facebook, navigate there and follow the rest of the steps.
    • If you're trying to copy a photo, you'll need to save it instead.
