Just installed i3 wm on Arch Linux but am not able to copy content(url) from browser to terminal. I'm just using the default config with no change. Do I have to do some extra config change for this?

ps - i3 is awesome and i'm absolutely loving it. thanks!

I guess controlling copy and paste is not up to the window manager, so you will have to handle clipboard with the terminal you are using.

For the record, I use gnome-terminal, and one of its conveniences is to access copy with ctrl+shift+c and paste with ctrl+shift+v.

Simply copy with your middle mouse button then use your middle mouse button to paste :)

Hi, if you are on a laptop without a mouse near you, you can copy with the standard ctrl+c , and then paste in the terminal with shift+insert

Cheers :)

The middle mouse button copy and paste thing is xorg's doing. As a matter of fact I had read up on this very thing not even four hours ago. I'm not sure if the default is left and right buttons simultaneously for a middle click; if it is it was set by the OS at installation time - xorg is pretty un-intuitive considering installation and configuration scenarios.
