Do you want to delete a Messenger account from your Android? As long as you have multiple Messenger accounts, you can easily delete the accounts that aren't logged in. However, if you cannot remove any accounts, you can mute or delete them from your phone. Read on to learn more.

Removing a Facebook Messenger Account on Android

  1. Tap ☰ in Messenger.
  2. Tap your profile icon.
  3. Swipe left on the account you want to remove.
  4. Tap the red trash icon and then Remove.

    • You can remove an account from Messenger if another account is logged in. If there is only one Messenger account in the app, you won't have the option to delete it.

    • This method won't get rid of the account on your Android, but you will no longer get notifications from that Messenger profile. Use this method if you have an account on Messenger that you can't delete, like a page account.
