This wikiHow article teaches you how to close your Wattpad account using a web browser. You can't close your account using the mobile app or a mobile web browser, so you'll need to be near a computer.

1 Go to https://www.wattpad.com/home and log in. You can use any desktop computer web browser to close your account including Chrome, Safari, and Firefox.

3 Click Settings. You'll see this near the bottom of the menu.[2]XResearch source
4 Click Close Account. It's a red button on the right side of the "Settings" page.[3]XResearch source
5 Fill in the required information. You'll have to select a reason to explain why you're leaving and type a response to "What could we have done better".
That information is mandatory for a few reasons: to give Wattpad a better picture of what makes users leave and to show that it's really you closing the account instead of a bot.
6 Click to check the box next to "Yes, I'm sure. Please close my account." It's a checkbox below the mandatory fields.[4]XResearch source
7 Enter your password. This is to further verify that you're closing the account instead of someone else.
8 Click Close Account. You'll be able to click on this once you finish filling in everything else on the page.[5]XResearch source
Sign in with your username and password again and the account will be reactivated.
Don't sign in to see if your account has been closed because signing in will reactivate it again. Instead, go to https://www.wattpad.com/user/yourusername (insert your Wattpad username at the end of that link in place of "yourusername") and look for the "User not found" message.[6]XResearch source
