Steps to disable video calls or chats on Instagram:

1) Click settings on your Instagram profile.

2) Click "Notifications" and tap "Direct Messages".

3) Scroll down to go to "Video Chats' options.

4) Select "Off" to disable video chat completely.

5) You can also select the restrictive option "From People I follow".
