Betta fish are small fish and can be very fun to draw. If you need tips for drawing one, read on.

Steps

1. 1 Choose which betta you want to draw. Do you want to choose a big colourful one, or a small non-colourful one? You can choose any betta you'd like to draw, including a dull one. You can also try drawing your own betta if you have one.
2. 2 Using a pencil, draw an oval with a rounded point at where your betta's face will be. Make sure it is not too rounded. Do the same at the other end where its tail will be, but a bit pointier. Advertisement
3. 3 Draw a slightly side-ways fin under the body. Leave a point at the end of the fin pointing down. Don't draw the triangle straight down though.
4. 4 Draw another side-ways triangle under the other fin, similar to the other.
5. 5 Draw two completely side-ways triangles where the betta's tail will be.
6. 6 Add a dorsal fin to your betta. This will look similar to the bottom fins too, except the top one is at the top of the betta. Make it like hair styled, but not like the curly hair, etc. Draw it a bit longer.
7. 7 Using a pen, outline the betta's details. Don't outline guidelines that go directly inside the betta's body.
8. 8 Erase all the guidelines. Try not to make the pen's ink scrape off.
9. 9 Add eyes, gills, and a small mouth. If you'd like, add a few detailed lines to the betta's fins and tail.

• If your eraser is very heavy and strong, it may scrape of the ink from the pen. To prevent this from happening, use a light and not strong eraser that still erases better. Thanks Helpful 2 Not Helpful 0
