In this drawing tutorial we will show you how yo draw a dagger. Dagger –  is an edged weapon with a short (up to 40 cm) straight or curved blade, sharpened on both sides. Such daggers you could see in arms of warriors, knights and different characters from fantasy.

Step 1

At first we should draw a straight line, that will help us to draw the dagger proportionally.

Step 2

At the end of the line from the previous step, draw a circle as a guide for a pommel.

Step 3

Now draw the grip of the dagger. It may be flat or convex as in our example.

Draw the guard that can be straight or curved as in our example.

Step 5

Here we draw the most important part of every melee weapon – the blade. As we said the blade of the dagger are sharpened on both sides.

Now erase the straight guideline from the first step and draw the rain-guard which is located at the junction of the guard and blade.

And we on the last step of the lesson on how to draw a dagger. Here we just need to add some shadows using using simple hatching.
