Materials & Drawing Lesson

• Pencil
• Drawing Paper
• Crayon or Colored Pencils
• Black Marker
• How to Draw a Dog Face Printable PDF (see bottom of lesson)

This step by step lesson will instruct you how to draw a dog face. We will draw attention to the shapes of each area and variety of contours created so that the drawing looks great.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

1. Start The Head

   

   Draw a circle in the middle of the page to start the head shape.

2. Add Ears

   

   Erase some of the head and add large floppy ears.

3. Add A Mouth

   

   Draw a large smiling dog mouth and nose.

4. Draw The Tongue

   

   Erase some of the mouth and head and add a tongue sticking out.

5. Draw The Eyes

   

   Draw closed eyes for a happy dog, or open if you prefer.

6. Add Color

   

   Color the dog in with whatever pattern looks good.
