Materials

• Pencil
• Drawing Paper
• Crayons or Colored Pencils
• Black Marker (optional)
• How to Draw a Pickle Printable PDF (see bottom of lesson)

In this beginner’s lesson, we are going to learn how to draw pickle with your drawing materials. Be sure to observe the various sizes and shapes within the artwork of the pickle. The lines in each step is outlined in blue so you can observe the current components that you should be drawing.

Time Needed: 20 minutes

1. Outline The Pickle

   

   Draw a huge, long oval on the lower part of your paper.

2. Add Bumps To The Pickle

   

   Then, add small bumpy shapes inside the pickle.

3. Draw The Jar’s Lid

   

   Now, begin working on the mason jar of pickles by drawing the lid. Draw a smaller oblong shape on the top left of the whole pickle and add volumes below.

4. Add The Body Of The Jar

   

   Then add two parallel lines for the glass sides of the mason jar.

5. Draw 3 Pickles Inside

   

   Now we can add vertical pickles inside the jar.

6. Complete Your Drawing

   

   Get your shading tools and color your pickle drawing.
