Step 1: Let's start by drawing the shrimp's long body. Make a small indentation on the right side for the tail.

Step 2: Next, draw the head to the left of the body. It is a little bit shorter than the body and is narrowest near the face.

Step 3: Draw the tail on the other end of the body. Shrimp have forked tails that propel them quickly through the water.

Step 4: Now let's make your shrimp look more realistic by drawing the eye and the mustaches. The mustaches look like the whiskers on a cat.

Step 5: Next, draw the antennae. These are almost as long as the body and are used for feeling and sensing things.

Step 6: Now draw the long legs. These legs are in the front of the shrimp's abdomen and are curved and very skinny. They have joints that make the leg bend, just like you have knees and ankles. Shrimp legs are weak and are not good for walking.

Step 7: Draw the straighter short legs next. These are sometimes called swimmerets or pleopods, and the shrimp uses them to swim. You're all done! Now you can color your shrimp. There are over 300 different species of shrimp--some are pink, some are brown, and others look tan.
