  • Question How do I draw a flower in a vase? Community Answer Community Answer It really depends on the angle you are making your vase. If you're making the one shown above, then you've got to draw the stem behind the line of your rim, meaning that the stem should look like it's been inserted into the vase. When you have done that, draw your flower on top of the stem. Thanks! We're glad this was helpful. Thank you for your feedback. Tips

  • If you want, put the rest of the scene in place. Draw the flowers, the table underneath, and the background items. This is called a still life. Thanks Helpful 3 Not Helpful 2
  • Shading is the key to making your drawing look more realistic. When coloring, use lighter colors on the spot that is facing the light, and darker on the other side. Look at the object or the photo. This one has two light sources, so the vase and the candles each have two bright areas, in lighter colors, with darker colors and shadows elsewhere. • Vases come in lots of shapes and sizes. Try several. Thanks Helpful 1 Not Helpful 4

Warnings

  • If it doesn't come out quite right at first don't give up. Art is about more than making something look exactly the way it looks in real life. Thanks Helpful 22 Not Helpful 5
