How To Draw Anime Girl Poses
Anime Girl Standing Pose
Start by drawing lines that will help you with body proportions.

Now, you’re going to draw all the sketches of each part of the body.

Starting at the head: make a circle with a triangle at the bottom. That will serve as the jawline.
For the torso: make a rectangle, followed by sausages for the arms. The shapes of the hands will depend on your desired form.
Make a circle for the hips, and sausages for legs, followed by shapes for the feet.
Also, mark the main joints to help you with movement and anatomy: shoulders, elbows, and knees.

Your sketch is finished. Now for the Lineart, try to follow all the main lines and think about fluidity when drawing. Pay attention to the curved lines and straight ones. That really makes a difference.
After you’ve finished, erase your sketch. Add details such as bone structures and shadows for better results.

All shadows depend on where the light is, so they may change according to each drawing and perspective.

Anime Girl Sitting Pose
Start with three lines. One at the top and two others in a “V” turned on its side shape.

Now, you’re going to draw all the sketches of each part of the body.

Starting at the head: once again, make a circle with a triangle at the bottom—the circle for the top of the head and the triangle for the base.
For the torso: make a rectangle, followed by sausages for the arms. The shapes of the hands will depend on your desired shape. Remember that not every part of the arms will be shown, although I advise you to draw the full sausages and not “cut” parts of them out of the sketch.
Make a circle for the hips, and sausages for legs, followed by shapes for the feet. In this position, the legs are really close to the top of the circle.
Also, mark the main joints again to help you with movement and anatomy: shoulders, elbows, and knees.

Your sketch is finished. Now for the Lineart, try to follow all the main lines and think about fluidity when drawing. Try to make separated lines instead of continuous ones. Pay attention to the curves and straight points.

After you’ve finished, erase your sketch. Add details such as bone structures (especially on knees and elbows) and shadows for better results.

Anime Girl Laying Down Pose
Start by drawing four lines—three of the same size and a bigger one.

Now for the body parts.

Starting at the head: make a circle with a triangle at the bottom once again.
For the torso: make a square, followed by sausages for the arms. The shapes of the hands will depend on your desired silhouette. In this drawing, we only have three sausages because a part of an arm is not going to be shown.
Make two circles for the buns, and sausages for legs, followed by shapes for the feet. Similar to the arms part: we are going to have only three sausages for the legs.
Don’t forget to mark the main joints to help you with movement and anatomy: shoulders, elbows, and knees.

Your sketch is finished. Now for the Lineart, try to follow all the main lines. Add ones if necessary and also try to give dimension.

After you’ve finished, erase your sketch. Add details such as bone structures and shadows for better results.

Anime Boy Standing Pose
Start by drawing three lines. They are going to separate the head, top, and bottom.

For the body parts, start with a circle and a triangle at the bottom.

For the torso: make a rectangle, followed by sausages for the arms. The shapes of the hands will depend on your desired form. Make the rectangle wider than what you did for the girls’ bodies.
Make another rectangle for the hips, and sausages for legs, followed by shapes for the feet.
Mark the main joints once again to help you with movement and anatomy: shoulders, elbows, and knees.

Your sketch is finished. Now for the Lineart, try to follow all the main lines. Usually, the man’s body doesn’t have as many curved lines as the girls,’ but that’s up to you.

After finished, erase your sketch. Add details such as bone structures and shadows for better results. Don’t forget the details on the chest and belly parts.

Anime Boy Sitting Pose
Start with three lines—a bigger one in between.

Draw a circle with a triangle at the bottom for the head.
For the torso: make a rectangle, followed by sausages for the arms. The shapes of the hands will depend on your desired form. In this case, one arm’s up, and the other is down, so the sausages should follow this direction, but it’ll depend on your desired arms positions.

We don’t need to draw any form for the hips in this pose, so skip to the and sausages for the legs and the shapes for the feet.

Your sketch is finished. Now for the Lineart, try to follow all the main lines.

After finished, erase your sketch. Add details such as bone structures and shadows for better results, especially on the knees.

Anime Boy Kicking Pose
Start by drawing lines. Three similar ones and a really long one (this is going to be the distance between each foot.)

Now, you’re going to draw all the sketches of each part of the body.

Starting at the head: make a circle with a triangle at the bottom.
For the torso: make a rectangle, followed by sausages for the arms (in your desired shape). And another two structures for the fists.

Make a rectangle for the hips, and sausages for legs, followed by shapes for the feet. Mark the main joints.

Once finished, follow all the main lines for the Lineart. Try to give movement. After all, it’s a moving action.
After finished, erase your sketch. Add details such as bone structures and shadows for better results.
