The player who has the spike drops the spike by holding it in his hand using 4 from the keyboard and G to drop the spike.

“4” to hold the spike in the hand.

“G” to drop the spike.

In short press 4 and G to drop the spike. Later the spike can be picked again by the same player who drops it.
