• Cooked snow crab

• Lemon wedges

• Melted butter

• Crab cracker

• Crab pick or fork

Eat Snow Crab Legs

Eating snow crab legs can be time consuming and messy but well worth the effort. Many seafood restaurants have all-you-can-eat crab leg nights, and they are one of the best attended nights of the restaurant. You might want to don a bib and invest in some hand wipes, because napkins just won't do the trick. Almost anyone but small children can do this with ease.

Step 1

Pull one of the legs off the cluster; you will notice it has two joints. Bend at the joint and pull apart slowly. If you are lucky, the meat will come out of the leg through the joint. This works really well with the fingers. Squeeze the lemon onto the meat and dip in the butter. Eat the crab meat.

Crack the shell on one part of the leg close to a joint. Don't squish it; just crack it. Bend and pull it apart. The meat should come out in one big piece. Repeat lemon and butter.

Step 3

Use a crab pick or a crab fork to get any meat that is stuck in the shell. Squeeze on lemon and dip in butter.

Squeeze lemon on the cluster. Pick meat out with fork and dip in butter. Enjoy. When finished, use a premoistened hand wipe until you can get to a sink and wash your hands.
