Basculin in its White Stripe forme has a brand new evolution in Pokemon Legends: Arceus - Basculegion, a Water- and Ghost-type Pokemon. Here's how to get a Basculin and how to evolve it into Basculegion in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Catch Basculin at Cobalt Coastlands - Tranquility Cove, which is in the middle of the map, or elsewhere - see the list below.
Level Basculin up to at least 34 so it learns Wave Crash - make sure to change its moves so it's active! You can change a Pokemon's moves by selecting the Pokemon in the Satchel menu. Press "A" over the Pokemon and scroll down one to "Change moves."
Now, you need to battle with Basculin so it incurs recoil damage - this can be from the move Wave Crash above, or Double-Edge, which it learns at a later level.
We found the best spot to do this is near the Molten Arena in the Cobalt Coastlands - every Pokemon here is weak to Basculin's Wave Crash.
Use Wave Crash until Basculin has taken enough recoil damage. This can be accrued over time in different battles, and you can heal in between the battles - but Basculin cannot faint!
When it's ready to evolve, you'll see a notification in the top left after the battle.
