Ursaluna is a New Pokemon in Pokemon Legends: Arceus that you'll need to complete your Pokedex. Getting an Ursaluna on your team is a bit tricky, as it requires catching and evolving an Ursaring using a peculiar method with a Peat Block. Here's how to find a Peat Block and how to evolve Ursaring into an Ursaluna.

How to Evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna

This Ursaluna Evolution guide includes:

  1. How to Get an Ursaring
  2. How to Find Peat Block
  3. Wait for the Full Moon
  4. Evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna

How to Get an Ursaring

First step to getting an Ursaluna is finding an Ursaring. The first place you'll find one is:

  • Crimson Mirelands - Ursa's Ring

The Ursaring there is a Level 41 Alpha Pokemon. If you aren't ready for a Pokemon of that level, there are Teddiursa, Ursaring's pre-evolution, in the same area. These are around Level 25, and will evolve into Ursaring at Level 30.

How to Find Peat Block

Now that you have an Ursaring, you can immediately evolve it into the Normal- and Ground-type Ursaluna - as long as you have the right item, a Peat Block. You won't be able to find this item, which only use is to evolve Ursaring, until you have calmed down the Noble Pokemon Ursaluna in the Crimson Mirelands, as part of the Main Mission Arezu's Predicament.

Partway through that mission, you'll gain the Noble Pokemon Ursaluna as a ride Pokemon. Its ability lets you sniff out treasure - including the illusive Peat Block. When the green radar coming from it turns orange, keep going in that direction until an exclamation point pops up above Ursaluna, which should stop you in your tracks. Press Y to dig. This has been the only method we've found Peat Block.

Peat Block Locations

Specifically, find Peat Block by digging from Ursaluna:

  • Obsidian Fieldlands - Deertrack Heights
  • Crimson Mirelands - Scarlet Bog

Peat Block can likely be found in other areas as well, but these are the only two locations we've had any luck finding it. They don't appear to spawn in the same spot, from day to day, or from person to person. If you'd like to "reset" the treasure spots, head back to camp and wait until morning. New spots should spawn, allowing you to continue your search.

Wait for the Full Moon

Moon Phases in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

Here are some of Pokemon Legends: Arceus' mooon phases in the order they appear, starting with a Waning Crescent. These are presented in order, but are currently missing a few nights (due to weather). If it's too overcast, you won't be able to see the moon no matter how long you wait. You need to move locations in order to see it, but visibly seeing it isn't necessary to evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna. Make sure you have both your Ursaring in your party and the Peat Block in your satchel. Now, it's time to wait.

  • Specifically, head to camp wait until nightfall at the tent.
  • Then, wait for the moon to rise. If the weather is poor, you unfortunately won't be able to see it.
  • Once you can see the moon, you'll have an idea of how long you have to wait. If the dark side of the moon is on the left, the full moon will happen soon. If the dark side is on the right, the full moon has just passed, and you'll have to wait a while longer. See the slideshow above to get an idea of how the moon phases progress! (These are not *all* of the moon phases, just some, but they are in order.)
  • Luckily, you can essentially skip days by continuing to "wait until nightfall" at any camp's tent.
  • Just check your menu to see when Ursaluna is ready to evolve

How to Evolve Ursaring into Ursaluna

Give Peat Block to Ursaring anywhere at night during the full moon to evolve it into Ursaluna!
