Evolving Pokemon in Sun and Moon is no different from the many Pokemon games before it. Most of your Pokemon will evolve simply by leveling up, but some require special conditions to be met before they will evolve. Below are the new Pokemon in Sun and Moon with hidden evolution methods.

About Alola Form Pokemon: Pokemon like Pikachu and Cubone, who are standard form Pokemon with Alola Form evolutions, can only evolve into their Alolan Forms while in Pokemon Sun and Moon, even if transferred from a previous game. So if you want a standard form Raichu, it must be transferred from a previous game already evolved. Also, Alola Form Pokemon will only ever evolve into their Alola Form evolutions in Pokemon Sun and Moon.

How to Evolve Salandit

Salandit	Salazzle
Link=Salandit	=>	Link=Salazzle

Salandit will evolve into a Salazzle at Level 33... only if it's a female. Sorry, your male Salandit is destined to serve a female alpha Salazzle in a reverse harem. Seriously. 

How to Evolve Steenee

Steenee	Tsareena
Link=Steenee	=>	Link=Tsareena

Steenee will learn the move Stomp at Level 29, a move it needs to know if you want it to evolve into Tsareena.

How to Evolve Fomantis

Fomantis	Lurantis
Link=Fomantis	=>	Link=Lurantis

Fomantis will evolve into Lurantis at Level 34, but only if it's during the day.

How to Evolve Type: Null

Type: Null	Silvally
Link=Type: Null	=>	Link=Silvally

Type: Null will evolve into Silvally as soon as you level it up once it's Happiness is maxed. Make your Pokemon happy by getting it massages, winning battles, a doing a variety of other actions.

Note: Affection obtained from Pokemon Refresh is not the same as the hidden stat Happiness.

Yungoos

Yungoos	Gumshoos
Link=Yungoos	=>	Link=Gumshoos

Yungoos will evolve into Gumshoos at Level 20, only during the daytime.

How to Evolve Charjabug

Charjabug	Vikavolt
Link=Charjabug	=>	Link=Vikavolt

This one's a little tricky. There's a big rock outside of Vast Poni Canyon entrance, on Ancient Poni Path, on Poni Island. Bring your Charjabug there and level it up for it to evolve into Vikavolt. This would be easiest with a Rare Candy.

How to Evolve Crabrawler

Crabrawler	Crabominable
Link=Crabrawler	=>	Link=Crabominable

Level up Crabrawler in the snow on Mount Lanakina to get Crabominable. 

How to Evolve Rockruff

Rockruff	Lycanroc
Link=Rockruff	=>	Link=Lycanroc Link=Lycanroc

This one depends on which game you have. At Level 25, Rockruff will evolve into Lycanroc Midday Form only during the day in Pokemon Sun, and Lycanroc Midnight Form only at night in Pokemon Moon.

How to Evolve Alolan Rattata

Rattata	Raticate
Link=Rattata	=>	Link=Raticate

Alolan Rattata will evolve at Level 20 into Alolan Raticate only at night.

How to Evolve Pichu

Pichu	Pikachu
Link=Pichu	=>	Link=Pikachu

Pichu will only evolve once its Happiness is maxed out. Once you've accomplished this by winning battles, giving it vitamins, etc., it will evolve into Pikachu when it levels up.

Note: Affection obtained from Pokemon Refresh is not the same as the hidden stat Happiness.

How to Evolve Pikachu

Pikachu	Alolan Raichu
Link=Pikachu	=>	Link=Raichu

In Alola, Pikachu will always, and only, evolve into the Alola Form Raichu. The method is the same as in other regions: Give Pikachu a Thunder Stone. Though Alolan Raichu will automatically learn some Psychic-type moves when it evolves, it won't learn any other moves after that. So make sure your Pikachu has learned an adequate amount of moves before evolving it.

How to Evolve Alolan Sandshrew

Alolan Sandshrew	Alolan Sandslash
Link=Sandshrew	=>	Link=Sandslash

The Ice-type Alolan Sandshrew will evolve into Alolan Sandslash with an Ice Stone. Like many Pokemon that evolve with the use of a stone, Alolan Sandslash won't learn any more moves once it's evolved.

How to Evolve Alolan Vulpix

Alolan Vulpix	Alolan Ninetales
Link=Vulpix	=>	Link=Ninetales

Evolve Alolan Vulpix into Alolan Ninetales with an Ice Stone. Again, like many Pokemon that evolve with the use of a stone, Alolan Ninetales won't learn any more moves once it's evolved.

How to Evolve Alolan Meowth

Alolan Meowth	Alolan Persian
Link=Meowth	=>	Link=Persian

Alolan Meowth will evolve into Alolan Persian when its Happiness is maxed. Once its happiness is maxed out and it levels up, Meowth will evolve into Alolan Persian.

How to Evolve Alolan Graveler

Alolan Graveler	Alolan Golem
Link=Graveler	=>	Link=Golem

Alolan Graveler evolves just like its standard form did before it. Trade it for it to evolve into an Alolan Golem.

How to Evolve Exeggcute

Exeggcute	Alolan Exeggutor
Link=Exeggcute	=>	Link=Exeggutor

Exeggcute evolves just like it always has: Give it a Leaf Stone for it to evolve into Alolan Exeggutor

How to Evolve Cubone

Cubone	Alolan Marowak
Link=Cubone	=>	Link=Marowak

Cubone will evolve into Alolan Marowak at Level 28 only at night.

How to Evolve Munchlax

Munchlax	Snorlax
Link=Munchlax	=>	Link=Snorlax

Munchlax will evolve into Snorlax once it reaches max Happiness and levels up.

How to Evolve Happiny

Happiny	Chansey
Link=Happiny	=>	Link=Chansey

You have to give Happiny an Oval Stone then level it up during the day before it will evolve into Chansey.

If you want a Blissey, raise Chansey's Happiness to max and level it up.

How to Evolve Sneasel

Sneasel	Weavile

Sneasel will evolve into Weavile if it's leveled up at night while holding a Razor Claw. Jangmo-o and Hakamo-o both have a 5% chance of holding a Razor Claw, but it's final evolution that only appears during S.O.S. Battles has a full 50% chance of holding one. Use a Pokemon with Thief to avoid having to catch dozens of Pokemon.

Eevee is a special Pokemon that can evolve into eight different Pokemon depending on what method you use to evolve it! 

• Flareon - use a Fire Stone.Vaporeon
• Vaporeon - use a Water Stone.
• Jolteon - use a Thunder Stone.Espeon
• Espeon - max out its Happiness and level it up during the day.
• Umbreon - max out its Happiness and level it up at night.
• Leafeon - level it up near the big mossy rock in the north part of the Lush Jungle on Akala Island. 
• Glaceon - level it up near the big icy rock inside the cave on Mount Lanakila on Ula'ula Island. 
• Sylveon - Get two hearts of affection in Pokemon Refresh and level it up when it knows a Fairy-type move.
