Do you need to factory reset your Oculus/Meta Quest 2? Perhaps you want to sell your Quest 2 or perhaps you are experiencing technical problems and you've exhausted all other options. Luckily there are two ways to factory reset your Quest 2. You can factory reset your Quest using the mobile app for your phone, or you can factory reset your Quest on the device itself. This wikiHow teaches you how to factory reset your Oculus/Meta Quest 2. Warning: Factory resetting your Quest 2 will erase all your apps and account information from your device. Only do this as a last resort.

Press and hold the power button on your Oculus Quest 2 headset until the power menu appears, then press the volume buttons at the same time to highlight the Factory Reset option. Press the Power button to select it, then "Yes, erase and factory reset" when prompted.

Using the Quest 2 Headset
1 Power off your Quest 2. To power off your Quest 2 headset, press and hold the Power button until the power menu appears. Use the controller to point to the blue button that says Power Off. Squeeze the trigger to select the Power Off button.[1]XResearch source
2 Press and hold the Power+Volume Down buttons at the same time. The Power button is the pill-shaped button on the right side of the headset. The Volume Up and Volume Down buttons are on the bottom-right side of the headset below the right lens. This loads the Quest 2 into the boot screen. Using the Oculus Mobile Application
1 Download the Oculus app. The Oculus app is free to download from the Google Play Store on Android devices or the App Store on iPhone and iPad. If you haven't already done so, download the Oculus app and sign in with your Oculus or Facebook account.
2 Make sure your Quest 2 is near your mobile phone. In order for the mobile app to connect to your Quest 2, your need to have your Quest 2 near your mobile phone. You also need to have Bluetooth enabled on your smartphone.
3 Open the Oculus app. The Oculus app has a white icon with an elongated "O". Tap the Oculus app icon to open the Oculus app.
4 Tap Devices. It's the second button from the right at the bottom of the Oculus app. It has an icon that resembles an Quest 2 headset. The app should connect with your device and display the device settings screen.[5]XResearch source
5 Select your devices (if more than one device is connected). If you have more than one Oculus or Quest device connected to the mobile app, tap the drop-down menu in the upper-left corner and select your Quest 2 device.
