For example: find the derivative of
y = t^2 - 2
Y'=
so the answer would be 2t but is there a way to type this into the calculator?

Calculators are a little underpowered at doing derivatives and integrals. You (yes, you!) are better at parsing functions for variables, and operating with respect to them.
If you need to integrate the occasional equation in real life, but please, not when you are supposed to be learning how to do it by hand! -- try Mathematica. (though, I HAVE overloaded the freebie integral call once!)
