Prime Factorization of 30

The number 30 is a composite number. Now let us find the prime factors of it.

• The first step is to divide the number 30 with the smallest prime number, i.e. 2.

30 ÷ 2 = 15

• Again, divide 15 by 2.

15 ÷ 2 = 7.5; factor cannot be a fraction.

• Now, proceed to the next prime number, i.e. 3 and divide 15 with it.
