Start by lifting up the rug where you are noticing the curl, and spray the underside of the rug with water. Give it a good spray, making sure the curl is thoroughly wet with water.

If the rug is lying on a wood floor, make sure to put a towel underneath the rug corner to avoid getting water on the flooring. Then set a heavy object on top of the corner, making sure the curled part is completely weighted down.

Heavy object (in this case a stack of encyclopedias) sitting on the corners of a curling rug to weigh it down.

Leave it this way for 24 hours to allow the rug to dry into its new (flat) shape.

Once the time is up, simply remove the heavy object and your rug should be lying flat again.
