How To Focus Umbral Engrams In Destiny 2: The Witch Queen

With the Destiny 2 Witch Queen expansion, the process to focus an umbral engram has changed. Although you still need to visit the H.E.L.M., the Prismatic Recaster is no more. Instead, what you need to do is walk up to the War Table directly and focus your Umbral Engrams from there.

Here's a step by step guide on how to focus an Umbral Engram in Destiny 2: The Witch Queen.

You will need an Umbral Engram to begin with. If you're new to Destiny 2, Umbral Engrams are purple octagonal orbs with black blotches all over. These are random drops and can be found by killing enemies anywhere in the system.

Once you've got an Umbral Engram, you need to navigate to the H.E.L.M. from your Director.

In the H.E.L.M. make your way to the War Table and interact with it.

On the very first page you will find a few options to focus your Umbral Engrams. These options will be locked initially. You will have to progress through the War Table ranks in order to unlock these options.

On the second page, there should be a few focusing options. In order to focus Umbral Engrams, you might need certain planetary elements or special ingredients as well. These are listed down when you hover over the option you want to focus on.

And that's it. Once you've focused the Umbral Engram, it will open up automatically and give you the loot you focused the engram for.
