Unfortunately, getting your hands on White Gull isn't easy. Thankfully, this guide explains how to gather some and what you can use it for once you do.

How To Get White Gull

Unfortunately, it's impossible to find or buy White Gull. Therefore, you need to craft the ingredient yourself. But first, you must locate the recipe.

Where To Find The Recipe

Finding the formula is harder than you may expect as it doesn't have a set location. You can loot it from chests, get it as a quest reward, or buy it from people.

Purchasing the recipe is the easiest option as most alchemists and herbalists sell it. However, none of them have it for sale all of the time. You should check the stock of these people:

  • Tomira In White Orchard - Her hut is slightly east of the Sawmill.
  • Keira Metz In Velen - She resides northeast of Midscope.
  • Gremist In Skellige - He's north of Gedyneith, next to a pond.

If you're really unlucky and none of those people currently have the recipe, just visit every alchemist or herbalist you find. At least one person will have the formula up for sale.

Where To Find All Of The Ingredients

Now that you have the recipe, you need to gather all of the right ingredients to make White Gull. Some of them you may already have, as they're not the rarest items in the game. If not, here's how to locate each one.

Redanian Herbal, Mandrake Cordial, And Cherry Cordial

Luckily, three of the ingredients are sold in many of the same places. Redanian Herbal, Mandrake Cordial, and Cherry Cordial are all drinks that you can purchase from most innkeepers.

A good Inn to visit is the one near Oxenfurt's Harbor in Velen as they typically have them all for sale.

Empty Bottle And Arenaria

Several locations in White Orchard sell both Empty Bottles and the plant known as Arenaria.

For instance, if you clear out the abandoned site at the southern part of the map, a herbalist will spawn there, and he tends to carry the two ingredients. Alternatively, if Tomira is still in her hut near the Sawmill, you can sometimes buy Empty Bottles and Arenaria from her.
