How to Farm Ascendant Alloys

Ascendant Alloys are a very rare material required for Shaping and Reshaping Weapons, specifically for applying enhanced traits and unlocking the weapon Catalyst for the Osteo Striga Exotic SMG.

There are only a handful of ways to get Ascendant Alloys currently, such as:

  • Completing weekly Campaign missions in the Throne World (random drop chance)
  • Completing the Wellspring activity in the Throne World (random drop chance)
  • Purchasing from Master Rahool for 400 Legendary Shards (once per week)
  • Rank up reward from Banshee-44 at Gunsmith Rank 16

The best way to farm Ascendant Alloys currently is by running the weekly Campaign mission or playing The Wellspring activity. While not a guaranteed reward, higher difficulties give a better chance for Ascendant Alloys to drop.

To unlock the weekly Campaign mission and additional difficulties, you'll need to reach Rank 13 with Fynch by increasing your Throne World Reputation. Rank 18 will unlock additional difficulties for The Wellspring, giving you better chances at nabbing an Ascendant Alloy.

During the Reshaping the Enigma Quest, you'll be introduced to Ascendant Alloys and have an opportunity to grab your first two for free by visiting Master Rahool in the Tower.
