How to Get Bamboo

Bamboo is a unique form of trees that do not appear on your native island. Here's how you can get it.

  1. Fly on a Mystery Island Tour and hope to get a bamoo forest template.
  2. Buy plenty of turnips from Daisy Mae who may mail you some Bamboo Shoots that you can plant and grow into a Bamboo tree.

How to Grow Bamboo Trees (Get Bamboo Shoots)

Bamboo grows similar to trees, except that once fully grown, they produce a Bamboo Shoot buried in the ground next to them. Dig up the ground around the bamboo to get a shoot which can be replanted to grow into a new bamboo tree. You can hit Bamboo trees for Bamboo pieces, the same way you would for any tree, which are used for a variety of DIY projects.

Bamboo Seasonal Recipes

During the spring months, there is a seasonal item that can be randomly gained from chopping Bamboo called Young Spring Bamboo - it is much more rare than regular Bamboo Pieces, and is also used in special seasonal recipes.
