Drifloon is an elusive Pokemon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl you'll need to see to complete the Sinnoh Pokedex. Here's where to find and catch Drifloon in Pokemon BDSP, with additional information on trainers with Drifloon, so you can unlock the National Pokedex soon.

How to Catch Drifloon in Brilliant Diamond Shining Pearl

Drifloon only appears in one spot in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and only on a specific day.

  • First, you must defeat Mars at Valley Windworks as part of the story.
  • Then, return to Valley Windworks on a Friday. Valley Windworks is just east of Floaroma Town.
  • You will see a Drifloon floating in front of the Valley Windworks building.
  • Unfortunately, if you defeat Team Galactic on a Friday, you will have to wait until the following Friday for Drifloon to appear.

Trainers with Drifloon

There's one other way to see Drifloon, to at least unlock it in your Pokedex, but unfortunately, this is a "missable" encounter.

Inside Hearthome Gym, you'll have to answer questions to get to the Gym Leader. Purposely answer them incorrectly in order to see all of the trainers there - one of them will have a Drifloon in their party.

Drifloon is a Ghost- and Flying-type Pokemon. At level 28, it evolves into Drifblim.
