17 Jun, 2018 @ 11:00pm How to get more settlers? I'm currently making an Oberland Station settlement and have been at it for a few hours, I have more than enough of everything except beds, but only have 5 settlers so far. How should I get more? < > Showing 1-15 of 30 comments

17 Jun, 2018 @ 11:06pm I assume you are using a beacon. My experience is that the flow of settlers slows to a trickle. You get 2 maybe 3 the first game day. Then one more after a full day. Then 2-3 days for the next one. Try a beacon somewhere else then relocate them. #1

17 Jun, 2018 @ 11:50pm There are other ways you can get settlers. If you have Automatron installed, head southeast to a set of ruined houses west of Hangman's Alley. Check to see if there are any settlers. If so, defend them from the attacking robots. If you keep them alive you can recruit them into your settlement. You can always reroll the random encounter as long as your save point is far enough away. Also if you head southwest to the Mass Pike Interchange fast travel point, you might encounter Super Mutants with a captive settler. Free the settler and kill the mutants and you can recruit them to your settlement. If you haven't already, the same place will have an encounter where settlers will be attacked by either robots or raiders. Again defend the settlers and you can recruit them into your settlement. These can be tricky to get but those are the other ways to get settlers....or just build robots, whichever you prefer. #4

18 Jun, 2018 @ 12:08am Wait. Settlers will arrive in dribs and drabs. You can actually see them arriving if you hang around.Or -There is a settlement happiness calculator on Oxhorn's youtube channel. The happier the settlement the more settlers. The beacon needs to be turned on (green light glowing). I don't think multiple beacons count.Plenty of food, plenty of fresh water, beds, workbenches, defence, shops, supply line possibly all contribute. There might be other factors. Also your own reputation might have an impact. Beds need to be indoors to count. My settlements usually have 200 defence, 3x food, all workbenches, extra beds, plus a few shops. This will get about 20 settlers. On the pip-boy there is a settlement status screen which indicates if there are any problems. Sometimes the settlers will tell you what the problem is. 18 Jun, 2018 @ 12:17am The happiness calculation doesn't affect to amount of settlers, which is determined by charisma. But, higher happiness indeed does affect to recruitment rate of settlers.Only real factors are happiness and the amount of unemployed people. #6

18 Jun, 2018 @ 1:36pm I hate to kinda necro this thread but I've tried moving people to my settlement but for some reason Oberland Station just doesn't show up when I try to move people, I even recruited Sheffield and I couldn't send him to Oberland. #7

18 Jun, 2018 @ 1:58pm You get settlers faster if you have all trading post (like bar, wapon merchant ect.) active. Gives higher morale, income and more settler #8

18 Jun, 2018 @ 2:23pm Use the Sim Settlements mod and its Rise of the Commonwealth expansion, put an NPC in charge of a settlement and then forget about it. Last edited by Average Citizen (Not FBI); 18 Jun, 2018 @ 2:24pm #10

18 Jun, 2018 @ 2:24pm Settlers = 10+Charisma points so if you don't have enough Charisma you cannot send settlers but if you only have 5 maybe it's something else, wait, do other stuff, come back or maybe try assigning settlers to a new job and then come back and see if you can move them to Oberland, note, you cannot move quest giving settlers. #11

[/quote]sorry man getting lost a bit, are you unable to move settler to Oberland, is that your issue? From your last post you're using a mod, I'd look there...... #14

There's even a glitch to force the randos that you run into in the wasteland to move to a settlement that is already at it's max pop.You can also use console commands to spawn settlers that you can then move to a settlement. #15 < > Showing 1-15 of 30 comments Per page: 1530 50 Fallout 4 > General Discussions > Topic Details Date Posted: 17 Jun, 2018 @ 11:00pmPosts: 30
