If you are doing that, you should get more than 20-30 per a day. i just got 50 copper, 120 iron and 20 gold ores in average lucky day after heading to mine at 10am. These are the ones you want to farm in general. For iron ore it is 71-79 but your best bet is to elevator to 75 clear, stairs up, and then back down to 75 and clear. that is absurd. even on a poor luck day, unless you mean bars or only go for a few hours. I can generally Abundant is a silly way of doing things, yes iron ore is more common on the 70-79 floors, but the floor structure is importantI mean doing floor 41 over and over I usually get 150 iron before noon. (use miner perk at level 5 for +1 ore per node)

Ok then go down to the next floor then go up. The point was not to go down floor by floor. Just go to the first floor in those 5 floors then go back up and rehit that floor. I used to do that, but 60-61 IS better for iron, and also gets you some diamonds.

Actually it might be fast to have a ladder spawned in already but the process described works ether way and since the 71-79 floors are tagged with the Abundant that means each time you spawn the floor in it could spawn a crap ton of ore. So I would stick to 70-71 or 75-76. You can science it though. make sure the days you do it have the same luck value. Do 60-61 one day and then 70-71 the next. See which one spawns more. I simply do not have time to be schlepping my farmer ass down into the mines for ores when they are so readily available from my friendly local blacksmith.Same with tear-assing around the countryside digging up boulders and chopping down trees. There are fair maidens aplenty to court, and my time is better spent doing that.If you are worried about the cost, here are some numbers --To make a keg using purchased materials -- 1725 gold. (You have to provide the oak resin yourself because no one sells it.)Preserves jar -- 2500Bee House -- 2500 (Bring your own maple syrup)Crappy Sprinkler -- 1425Quality Sprinkler -- 3050 (You provide the refined quartz. Go to the mine and get one, the put it in a crystallarium, which you can get by completing one of the Vault bundles.)Copper bar (5 copper plus 1 coal) -- 525Iron bar (5 iron plus one coal) -- 900Gold bar (5 gold plus one coal) -- 2150All very reasonable. Had to go look it up.Now I need to go squeeze out a couple more Mining levels so I can get it.
