This page contains information on how to get Shaymin in Pokemon Legends Arceus, which isn't necessary for completing your Pokedex. Shaymin (Land Forme) is a mythical Pokemon that cannot normally be encountered in Hisui, but Nintendo has revealed that there is a special way to obtain Shaymin and a bonus outfit for your character as well if you've played Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield!

How to Get Shaymin (Land Forme) in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

If you have saved data from either Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield, you'll be able to encounter the mythical Pokemon Shaymin (Land Forme) in Pokemon Legends Arceus after viewing the game's end credits. Once you've rolled credits on Pokemon Legends Arceus, return to Jubilife Village and you'll find a new Request called A Token of Gratitude to accept that leads to encountering Shaymin (Land Forme).

Shaymin Kimono Set

Your Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield saved data will also unlock a bonus outfit known as the Shaymin Kimono Set. This set includes the Fancy Kimono and the Fancy Bottoms in the Shaymin Style. You can claim this outfit by speaking to the Clothier after joining the Galaxy Expedition Team.

Request #92 - A Token of Gratitude

A Token of Gratitude is the 92nd Request in Pokemon Legends: Arceus and tasks you with helping Medi locate Gracidea flowers in the Obsidian Fieldlands.

As mentioned earlier, this request will only be available if you have saved data from either Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield. This Request can be grabbed from the Request Board in Professor Laventon's office after viewing the game's end credits. Once you accept, you'll need to meet Medi at the Coastlands Camp in the Obsidian Fieldlands.

Speak with Medi to learn about a field of flowers she's looking for. After a short conversation, she'll give you a Gracidea as a clue to help her track down the flowers. If you've done your fair share of exploring the Obsidian Fieldlands, you'll know the Floaro Gardens are full of flowers. Make your way east to the Floaro Gardens.

However, when you arrive all the Gracidea flowers will be dead. Walk into the middle of the flower patch for a short cutscene. She'll thank the Pokemon from her past and the flowers will be restored, and a Shaymin will appear.

Approach the Shaymin for a battle and the opportunity to catch it to add to your Pokedex. Make sure you've got a good team, though, as this Shaymin is Level 70.

Whether you decide to catch or defeat Shaymin, this Request will be marked as complete following the battle. After catching Shaymin, you could transform it into its Sky Forme by placing Shaymin into your party and using the Gracidea flower on it.
