What is Stone Brick and What is it Used For?

Stone Brick can be used for castle structures like Reinforced Walls, Reinforced Windows Walls, Reinforced Entrance, Reinforced Pillars, Castle Gate, and Castle Gate – Servant Lock. Stone Brick is also needed for certain Wallpapers and other cosmetic decorations for your castle.

Most importantly, you will need Stone Brick to construct most of the flooring for your castle. This is noteworthy because you will not be able to finish the Journal Quest, Building a Castle, without Stone Brick.

How to Craft a Grinder and Get Stone Brick

Unlike many of the consumables, Stone Brick needs to be created in your Castle using a Grinder. However, to construct a Grinder, you will need 8 Planks, 4 Copper Ingots, and 4 Whetstones. Planks are easy to make if you have a Sawmill and enough lumber. Copper Ingots can be made if you have a Furnace and are able to collect Copper Ore.

How to Get and Find Whetstones

As for the whetstones, if you go to a Bandit Armory, you can collect whetstones from enemies, or they can be found in chests, barrels, and crates. One trip through a Bandit Armory should give you the number of whetstones you need for the Grinder. If not, the enemies will respawn, which will allow you to farm the Armory if you need to.

Another good aspect of the Bandit Armory is the fact it is located just north of the Vampire Waygate that's found on the western side of the Farbane Woods region. Should you happen to die while trying to take on the Bandit Armory, getting back to pick up your items will be significantly quicker than the other locations.

Other locations that Whetstones can be found include:

  • Farbane Woods:
    • Bandit Stronghold
    • Bandit Encampment
  • Dunley Farmlands:
    • Bastion Dunley

It should be noted that enemies in the Bandit Armories in Farbane Woods are levels 18-30, which means you should have decent gear before venturing into these camps. At the very least you should have the Plated Boneguard (Gear Level 2) vestments equipped or at least one piece of Nightstalker (Gear Level 3) or Merciless Nightstalker (Gear Level 4) gear. Along with armor, it is also highly recommended that you have a few Copper weapons (Gear Level 9) equipped to help deal more damage to the high-level enemies.

Once you have constructed the Grinder, you will need 12 Stones to make one Stone Brick. Since Stone is easy to come by, you should be able to amass a large surplus of Stone Brick within a few days.
