How to Get to Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach is a very “walkable” town, and there are plenty of public transportation options which allow you to sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery. Take advantage of the City’s FREE trolley service that services on Coast Highway between North Laguna/Heisler Park, downtown, South Laguna/Mission Hospital and Ritz Carlton in Dana Point.
If you are traveling on a budget, the OCTA bus is a great option and stops at most Orange County attractions and train stations including the Laguna Beach Bus Depot in the downtown village.
Where is Laguna Beach?
Laguna Beach is centrally located in Southern California, approximately 40 miles south of Los Angeles and 70 miles north of San Diego. It is in Orange County and only 40-minutes from Disneyland and 30-minutes from Knotts Berry Farm.

If driving to Laguna Beach there’s enough time in your schedule for a scenic drive, check out California’s Pacific Coast Highway 1 (PCH), which hugs the coastline and provides picturesque scenery along the way to Laguna Beach. Or save some time and take one of our Freeways or the Toll Road.

FROM THE NORTH:Take the 405 or 5 South, exit Hwy 133 South toward Laguna Beach. The 133 South turns into Laguna Canyon Road and becomes Broadway. Make a left on Beach Street – it will dead-end at Beach Street and Forest Avenue with the Visitors Center right in front of you at 381 Forest Avenue.
FROM THE SOUTH:Take the 405 or 5 North, exit Hwy 133 South toward Laguna Beach. The 133 South turns into Laguna Canyon Road and becomes Broadway. Make a left on Beach Street – it will dead-end at Beach Street and Forest Avenue with the Visitors Center right in front of you at 381 Forest Avenue.
FROM THE EAST:From the San Gabriel Valley, take the Orange (57) Freeway South to the San Diego (5) Freeway South. Exit Hwy 133 South toward Laguna Beach. The 133 South turns into Laguna Canyon Road and becomes Broadway. Make a left on Beach Street – it will dead-end at Beach Street and Forest Avenue with the Visitors Center right in front of you at 381 Forest Avenue.
