One two most common questions about dartboards is “How high should the dartboard be hung? And how far should the throw line be from the dartboard?”. Here are your answers:

How high should a dartboard be hung?

It’s recommended to measure for and and mount the dartboard before measuring for the throw line distance. Regulation dartboard height from the floor to the center of the bullseye is 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 meters). This measurement is recognized internationally and remains the same for both electronic and steel tip dartboards.

How far from the dartboard should the throwline be placed?

The distance from the face of the dartboard to the front of the throwline 7 feet 9 1/4 inches (2.37 meters). It is important to measure from the face of the dartboard, not from the wall. You can measure the depth of your dartboard and add it to your measurement from the base of the wall.
