How to hatch an egg (Incubation)By BelleNathan ShawDHunter24+897 moreUpdated: May 2, 2017 9:26pm UTC

After you have successfully comleted the mating/breeding process you may get a "fertilised egg" (if the dinos do not spawn live young). In order to hatch the egg you need to undergo an incubation process.

This, for some, can be a tricky process if they do not know exactly how to do it. But it is important to remember, that with the correct guidance most activities can be fun, if well prepared.

Eggs do have a health bar (so be mindful) but this will not go down unless left on the ground.

Some people simply use a campfire and/or torches to help increase the temperature. Although this method does indeed work, it required a keener eye due to external temperatures likely to change.

Therefore the best method when incubating an egg, is to use between 5-10 incubators (depending on the size and type of egg you are trying to hatch). These will in most cases regulate the temperature to the perfect medium required for the egg placed between them.

Other lesser known methods for incubating are to actually use tames to help with this process. Both Kairukus and Dimetrodons act are mobile Air Conditioners which when an egg is placed between a group of them, they will help to regulate to temperature and in turn allow the incubation process to start.
