This wikiHow teaches you how to hide a friend's name from your Best Friends list on Snapchat. To do this, you will first block your friend, then you will unblock them again.

Part 1 Part 1 of 2:

Blocking Your Friend

1. 1 Open Snapchat. The Snapchat icon looks like a yellow box with a white ghost in it.
2. 2 Swipe down. Snapchat will open up to the camera screen. Swiping down on it will open your Snapchat Home screen. Advertisement
3. 3 Tap My Friends. This option will be next to a notebook icon towards the bottom of your screen. Tapping on it will open up your Friends list.
4. 4 Tap on a best friend's name. This will bring up your friend’s profile card.
5. 5 Tap the gear icon. This button is in the upper-right corner of the profile card.
6. 6 Tap Block. This button blocks this friend on Snapchat.
7. 7 Tap Block again. This is the purple button. It will block your friend.
8. 8 Select Other. Some of these options might have serious consequences, and it’s best to avoid picking another one for this purpose. Your friend will disappear from your Friends list. Advertisement

Unblocking Your Friend

1. 1 Tap the back button. This is in the upper-left corner of your screen. It will take you back to your Snapchat Home screen.
2. 2 Tap the gear icon. This will be in the upper-right corner of your screen. It will open your Settings menu.
3. 3 Scroll down and tap Blocked. This will be in the Account Actions section towards the bottom of the menu. It will open a list of all of your blocked friends.
4. 4 Tap the X button next to your friend’s name. Find the friend that you just blocked, and tap this button to unblock them.
5. 5 Tap Yes. This is the purple button and it will unblock your friend. Your friend will no longer appear in your Best Friends list. Advertisement
