Do you want to hide the friends that you have in common with other friends on Facebook? Unfortunately, you are unable to completely hide your mutual friend's list, but you can hide your full friend's list and ask your other friends to hide their lists, which, in effect hides your mutual friend's lists. This wikiHow article teaches you how to set your friend list to private on Facebook using an Android.
Can you hide your mutual friends on Facebook?
Mutual friends may still appear on your Facebook profile when friends view your profile, even if you hide your friends list in the Settings menu. You can ask your friends to hide their friends list to prevent mutual friends from appearing on your profile.

Setting Your Friends List to "Only Me"
1 Open Facebook on your Android. It’s the blue icon with a white “f” inside. You’ll usually find it on the home screen or in the app drawer.
Even when you set your friends list to Only Me, your friends will still be able to see your mutual friends. The only way mutual friends will not be displayed is if your friends also hide their friends lists.
2 Tap your profile picture. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen. This displays the menu. Advertisement
3 Scroll down and tap Settings and Privacy. It's about halfway down the menu next to an icon that resembles a gear. This expands the "Settings & Privacy" menu.
4 Tap Settings. It's the first option below "Settings & Privacy." It's next to an icon that resembles a person.
5 Scroll down and tap How people find and contact you. It's the third option below the "Audience and visibility" header. It's next to an icon that resembles a person with a magnifying glass next to their head.
6 Tap Who can see your friends list?. It's the second option below the "Your friends" header at the top of the menu.
7 Tap Only me. This hides your friends list from everyone on Facebook.
Alternatively, you can select "Close friends" to only share your friend's list with those who are marked as close friends, or "Specific friends" to select a group of friends to share your friend's list. You can also select "Friends except" to exclude specific friends from seeing your friend's list.
8 Tap Save. This saves your preferred settings and restricts who can see your friends list. However, at this point, your Facebook friends can still see which friends you have in common.
9 Ask your friends to restrict who can view their friends list to “Only me.” Once your Facebook friends have made this same change to their settings, they won’t be able to see your mutual friends.[1]XResearch source

Mutual Friends on Facebook: Meaning
Mutual friends are friends that you have in common with the person viewing your profile. For example, both you and Sally are Facebook friends with John. When Sally visits your Facebook profile, John will appear as a mutual friend. Even if you have hidden your friends list, John will still appear as a mutual friend to Sally.
So if you and John set your friends lists to "Only Me," Sally will not see any mutual friends when she visits your page.

3 Can I hide one friend on Facebook from others? Unfortunately, you cannot hide your friendship with a specific friend. You can only hide your entire friends list (which will still display mutuals).
