How To Iron Clothes Step By Step With A Steam Iron

Ironing clothes might be an intimidating experience especially when you’re doing it for the first time. But since you can’t step out of the house wearing wrinkly clothes, here are few tips on how to iron clothes with a steam iron. You’ll be needing an iron board, some water and a steam iron.

• Open the water tank lid and fill it with water through the water filling hole. Your steam iron should be cold and unplugged! Make sure you don’t fill it above the max level. Close the water tank and plug the iron.
• Check the garment label and make sure you set the steam iron according to the label instructions. Set your iron according to the instructions and wait for it to heat.
• Spread the garment on your ironing board and start ironing. If you own a Tefal Easygliss, you’re in luck because the steam-temperature settings are automatic to ease your ironing.
• Spray deep creases with your iron steam spray function if the garment tolerates water. Make sure you iron sections of your garment long enough to smooth them, not dry them.

Whenever you need to pause or rest your iron, you can set it on its heel. When done, set it on its heel until cool, then wrap loosely until further use.
