Kevin BergAuthor 6 books43 followersFollowFollowApril 3, 2017I came across this book while browsing for a new, fun read, and couldn’t be happier about finding this one. Either one of the titles sells fun. The story is fast-paced without being tiresome, inspirational and depressing, meaningful yet funny. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and everything the complex characters brought along with them. "h8r" (don’t call him Maxi if you want to keep your teeth) vocalizes the suffocating angst and anger of a troubled life in the execution of his master plan with his buddy Chib, and after finding a self-help cd in a car he can finally carry it to completion. What are your goals? How will you achieve them? Enough about you, this is more interesting than that. A sociopath takes the lessons from a self-help guru and motivational speaker, and goes farther than he could have dreamed. His goal is not yours, but it doesn’t have to be. Pick this one up and see what it motivates you to do in your life. This God-car runs full speed with his wish from the beginning, and Goldground fully delivers the entire way. This was one of my favorite books this year, brilliant characters and a fun story that had me guessing until the very end. No more plot from me, read it, you will be thankful you did.Oh, and once I finished, h8r didn’t go away. Part of him lives inside now, this story is truly a memorable and exhilarating ride.Displaying 1 of 1 review

What happens when a mind that doesn't know right from wrong is accidentally re-programmed for total success?Maxi Muir finds a motivational CD in his social worker's stolen car. A life not worth living is increasingly hypnotised and trapped inside the worst number-one goal in the universe. But why is the universe threatened by an 8-gear God-car, a bypass that won't behave, and a spine? A heart and mind melted by hallucinations and personal development, and an epic quest for a father (dis)figure, that starts with a kick in the ****s in a local pub, and grows to infect the entire universe. A character to push you to your limits.Kindle Edition
