Background

Although a bottle o'enchanting looks a lot like a potion, you don't drink it. Instead, you throw it on the ground similar to a splash potion. When the bottle breaks, experience orbs will spawn.

These tiny green and yellow balls will move towards you and add experience to your experience bar.

The amount of experience that is spawned by the bottle o'enchanting can vary between 3 and 11 experience points.

How to craft a Bottle o'Enchanting in Survival Mode

1. Find a Villager that is a Cleric

Each villager will have different trades depending on its career. To get a bottle o'enchanting in Survival mode, you need to find a villager that has a career of Cleric. This type of villager wears purple robes, but its appearance can differ slightly depending on the biome it is found in. This is what a Cleric looks like in a Plains village:

2. Trade with the Cleric

To get a bottle o'enchanting, you must trade with a Cleric that has a career level of Master. Chance are, you will not be lucky enough to find a Cleric already at a Master level, so you will need to trade with the Cleric until it levels up to Master. The following are the career levels that a villager will naturally progress through:

Novice -> Apprentice -> Journeyman -> Expert -> Master
