How to make a Bundle in Minecraft

This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft a bundle with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

In Minecraft, a bundle is a tool that was added in the Caves & Cliffs Update: Part I (Minecraft 1.17) and further refined in Minecraft 1.21.2. A bundle can hold one stack of an assortment of items. A bundle acts like a chest that you can carry with you in your inventory.

2. Add Items to make a Bundle

In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make a bundle, place 1 string and 1 leather in the 3x3 crafting grid.

When making a bundle, it is important that the string and leather are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. In the first row, there should be 1 string in the middle box. In the second row, there should be 1 leather in the middle box. This is the Minecraft crafting recipe for a bundle.
