You can add a stripped dark oak log to your inventory in Survival mode by stripping the bark from a dark oak log with an axe. So, let's get started!

1. Find a Dark Oak Tree

First, you need to find a dark oak tree in your Minecraft world. Dark oak trees are found in the Dark Forest. It is easy to spot a Dark Forest because of the large red and brown mushrooms towering through the dark oak trees.

Within the Dark Forest, you will find dark oak trees. Dark oak trees can only survive in very shady areas which is why you can only find them in these forested areas.

2. Hold an Axe

Next, you will need to select an axe in your hotbar. These are the axes you can choose from:

3. Strip the Bark with the Axe

Now, you need to strip the bark from a dark oak log with your axe. The game control to strip the bark with an axe depends on the version of Minecraft:

• For Pocket Edition (PE), you tap on the dark oak log.
• For Xbox 360 and Xbox One, press the LT button on the Xbox controller.
