How to craft a Wooden Sword in Survival Mode

1. Open the Crafting Menu

First, open your crafting table so that you have the 3x3 crafting grid that looks like this:

2. Add Items to make a Wooden Sword

In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. To make a wooden sword, place 2 wood planks and 1 stick in the 3x3 crafting grid.

When crafting with wood planks, you can use any kind of wood planks, such as oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, mangrove, bamboo, crimson, warped or cherry planks. In our example, we are using oak planks.

When making a wooden sword, it is important that the wood planks and the stick are placed in the exact pattern as the image below. There should be 1 wood planks placed in the middle box in the first row. In the second row, 1 wood planks should be in the middle box. In the third row, 1 stick should be in the middle box.
