French Press is most popular methods of brewing coffee. All it requires is a glass or sometimes aluminum jug with a mesh filter and plunger that firmly fits inside and can be pushed down, that’s the simple beauty of the French press, rich taste in the cup.
Steps
1 Done
Grind the coffee
You need coarsely fine grounds fresh coffee beans. You'll need 2 tablespoons (1 oz or 28.3 grams) of beans for every 1 cup of water.
2 Done
Boil Water
Heat up one cup of water to 185-205 degrees F or 96 degrees C, or just really hot. Make sure the water actually boils.
3 Done 1 m
Add the Coffee Grounds and Hot Water
Add the coffee grounds into the press. Pour about half the water into your French press, and allow the coffee to bloom for one minute.
(If you want, you can skip this step, but the espresso won’t have that rich taste you get.)
4 Done 3-5 m
Press the plunger
1. Fill the press with the remaining water and stir.
2. Wait 3 minutes for steep coffee. If you want a strong brew, you can let it steep a little longer.
3. Do not press the plunger as the coffee grounds are steeping. After 3-4 minutes have elapsed, you’re ready for the final stage of espresso-making with the French press.
4. Press down the plunger on your French press with slow, steady, and even pressure. Plunge halfway, and then raise the plunger to the top before plunging all the way down to finish the press.
5. Pour out the coffee into a cup and serve immediately french press coffee.
