• Needle-nose pliers

• Silver craft wire

• Aluminum foil or silver duct tape

• Sandpaper

• Super glue

Braces can be an important part of a costume or worn as a joke. Real braces are costly and hard to put on and take off. A fake braces costume can be made quickly, and unlike real braces, it's super-easy to put on and take off. From a distance, fake braces look like real braces, without the pain or expense of visiting an orthodontist.

Cut the Wire for Your Fake Braces Costume

Cut a piece of craft wire long enough to go around the front of your teeth add an extra inch on each side.

Make Aluminum Foil Brackets for the Braces

Make eight small square-shaped boxes (approximately 1/4 inch across) with aluminum foil. These will be the brackets for the braces.

Super Glue the Brackets to the Wire

Glue brackets to the wire with super glue. Space the brackets according to the nature placement of your teeth. Each of the eight teeth in the front of your mouth should have its own bracket.
