Filter Coffee is a signature South Indian beverage that carries its own signature flavour and aroma. To prepare this recipe, all you need is filter coffee, milk, sugar, water and filter paper. Usually, filter coffee is prepared using a special machine that creates an aromatic coffee concoction. Start your morning with this soothing filter coffee or enjoy it during your evening tea. Pair up filter coffee with breakfast and start your day in a delicious manner. Filter coffee is a highlight of South Indian cuisine and is famous for its flavour and aroma. Ingredients of Filter Coffee

• 1 cup filter coffee
• 1/2 tablespoon water

• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 gm sugar

How to make Filter Coffee

• Step 1 Prepare coffee concoction

  Take a glass and place a strainer on it. Layer the strainer with a filter paper. Make sure the paper is properly placed. You can also make a filter paper cone and directly place it on the cup. Add 1 tbsp filter coffee to the filter paper and press it gently using a spoon. Now boil 1/2 cup of water in a pan. Pour this water on the coffee and let the concoction slowly strain through the filter paper. Let the leftover water drip slowly and leave the concoction for 10 minutes.

• Step 2 Add milk

  Now boil 1/2 cup milk and add 1 tbsp sugar to it. Pour the milk equally into the coffee concoction.

• Step 3 Ready to be served

  Give a nice mix and your South Indian style Filter Coffee is ready to be served.
