The Chest is a portable storage item in Stardew Valley that you can craft. It has 36 item slots and allows you to store stackable items in stacks up to 999. The color of the Chests can be changed to make it easier to remember what type of items you’re storing in them. They can be placed in your farmhouse, farm buildings, outside on your farm, or on other parts of the map.

How to Move Chest

Like most placeable items in Stardew Valley, the Chest can be picked back up and moved. To move the Chest or Trunk, make sure to empty its contents first. Next, use the Pickaxe or Axe on the Chest to be able to pick it up. Now, you can move the Chest to a new location.
