Example: Find the product of 3 2⁄5 and 25

Step 1: Convert 3 2⁄5 to an improper fraction.

3 2⁄5 = 17/5

Step 2: Represent 25 as a fraction.

25 = 25/1

Step 3: Multiply the numerators of the two fractions.

17 × 25 = 425

Step 4: Multiply the denominators of the two fractions.

5 × 1 = 5

Step 5: Combine and write the fraction in its lowest form.

425/5 = 85/1 = 85
