Queer Eye's Fab Five – Karamo Brown, Jonathan Van Ness, Antoni Porowski, Tan France and Bobby Berk – are on the move. After sashaying away from Atlanta after seasons 1 and 2 of the show took the streaming world by storm, the sensational squad are now making people ugly-cry with their incredible makeovers in Kansas City, Missouri.

So how can you nominate someone to get the guys' special treatment (while also making a TV cameo yourself)? Here's everything you need to know about nominating a friend for Queer Eye...

How have nominations worked for past seasons?

The casting for Queer Eye heroes is not as straightforward as you might think, and Netflix has used a few different approaches to find talent in the right parts of the country.

For the comeback's first season, it appears that they worked with casting producers from ITV Entertainment, a production company based in New York and Los Angeles. And it looks like ITV is still responsible for casting the show.

“The Fab Five — experts in interior design, grooming, fashion, food, and culture — are ready to give some Southern men a new look - and a new outlook,” Jen Gross, a casting producer with ITV Entertainment, told The Telegraph back in 2017.

The makers of Queer Eye have also taken some grass roots approaches to casting, as well. While filming for the show's latest season was underway, the mayor of Kansas City, Sly James, took to Twitter to encourage people to nominate locals for the Netflix hit. The tweet includes instructions for how to enter:

"Email us name, contact info, photos and story for the person you're nominating to: [email protected]"

Is there a nomination form I can fill out somewhere?

Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a form to fill out online. If they stick with the email they used to cast the most recent season, than sending a message to [email protected] seems to be your best bet.

Where else can I get updates about casting?

It does appear like Netflix is still working with ITV for their casting needs, so try following the casting agency on Facebook (they don't appear to be active on Twitter) in case they ever do call-outs on there. ITV also has a casting tab on their website, but it looks like the last time they posted to it was in 2017.

Anything I should keep in mind when trying to nominate someone?

This might seem obvious, but casting is all about location, location, location. In the excitement of wanting to get involved with QE, you might forget that they can only cast based on the location of the next season. Even if your nominee is GOALS, if you're not in the right city for the shoot, it'll be a no-go.

Also, it's realistic that your nominee needs to be 18-years-old or older. The youngest nominee they've had thus far is Sean (18) from season 2, episode 7.
